Flow racks

Pallet flow racks, fitted with slightly sloping roller conveyors, are suitable for products with a high turnover rate – such as perishables – because they save space and time when moving pallets.

FIFO and LIFO: efficient storage method for a small volume

FIFO flow rack

According to the FIFO principle (First in, First out), the pallets run over a roller conveyor from the input side to the output side, pulled by gravity and at a controlled speed. What is put onto the rack first is taken back out first.

LIFO flow rack

It also works the other way around: via the push-back system, pallets are stored according to the LIFO principle (Last in, First out). The pallets are put in and taken back out from the same side. First, the pallets are pushed onto the roller conveyor with a forklift truck, and then they roll back automatically, pulled by gravity.

Advantages

  • High storage capacity because fewer aisles are needed
  • No need for manual moving; gravity does the job
  • Lower energy costs due to compact storage
  • Perfect stock turnover according to the FIFO and LIFO system
  • Can be used in any industry

Suitable for…

  • Storage of large numbers of identical products
  • Storage of perishables
  • Storage of products with a high turnover rate
  • FIFO and LIFO
